2024 FOCUS

Embarking on our inaugural year, the Central Ohio Workforce Development Network members have identified essential activities necessary for our long-term success. Members all agree that building a true workforce development system with no wrong door of entry is needed to allow us to meet the needs of our diverse community of job seekers and employers. Initial activities include:

  • Developing a comprehensive strategic plan that emphasizes service availability for all residents while meeting the needs of an evolving employer base.
  • Comprehensive asset mapping of member organizations including all workforce development programs/initiatives and supplemental workforce adjacent services that improve outcomes of participants.
  • Development of data sharing practices across member organizations to better serve job seekers who engage with more than one member. This may include the implementation of shared data system.
  • Implementation of a professional development structure to support the professional growth of front-line and leadership within member organizations.
  • Development of information sharing platform to ensure all member organizations have access to current labor market information, employer and industry opportunities, and member organization updates
